About

I'm a software engineer based in New York City.

My technical interests span the realms of software engineering, UI and data science. I studied computer science for my undergraduate and masters at MIT and worked at Squarespace for around 3 years doing front end development. Most recently, I participated in the Data Science for Social Good Fellowship that was a joint venture between The University of Chicago and Nova School of Business in Lisbon. My team's project was in collaboration with the Tuscan tourism department to try and study the effect of over-tourism on the local population of Florence.

Outside of work, I tend to take pictures, see live music, cook, paint, read, and wander the city. I'm a bit of a dilettante. I'm an avid consumer of media (podcasts, journalism, books, film, documentaries). In my free time I’ve been reading up a lot on the history of urban planning as well as New York housing policy and for my next move I want to find a way to make my skills applicable to the challenges I see around me in the city. I joined the Manhattan Young Democrats task force on Affordable Living as of last year, so my next projects will hopefully be digging into some of the awesome New York City open source housing data. More to come on that front...
